Committed to education the whole child...
Spiritual Development
We strive to help young people grow toward Christ-likeness.
Chapel meets weekly for all grades. Students also receive
spiritual training through daily Bible classes. Regular church
attendance is encouraged.
Academic Development
All classes are taught from a biblical worldview. The
application of Bible truth throughout the disciplines is
designed to encourage students to think and respond biblically
in all areas of life. SCS offers a regular course of study as
outlined by the State of Indiana.
Students in K-5 through 11 take the Stanford Achievement Test
each spring. Seniors take the ACT or SAT.
Instruction on fundamentals is emphasized, with A-Beka being the predominant curricula used throughout
the school. The A Beka Book Scope and Sequence
provides an overview of concepts taught each school year from
Nursery through 12th grade.

Scope & Sequence
Suburban Christian School is a member of the Indiana Association
of Christian Schools (IACS, American Association of Christian Schools
(AACS) and the Central Indiana Christian Conference (CICC).
Classes are held in two air conditioned buildings that include a
library, computer lab, science lab, music studios, kitchen,
locker rooms, and a gymnasium. Our ten acre lot includes a
playground and soccer field.
Kindergarten
Kindergarteners enjoy an activity-oriented learning
environment. Teachers concentrate on reading (with a
phonetic approach), writing, and arithmetic; students will
learn how to read before they graduate from kindergarten.
Elementary
Phonics mastery is the cornerstone of the reading program,
while strong foundations are carefully laid in mathematics,
grammar, spelling, science, penmanship, history, and
geography.
Middle School
At
a time of physical and emotional transition, young men and
women must be made to realize their personal accountability
to Christ. The middle school program offers leadership,
guidance, and challenging academics to develop the students’
confidence and stability.
High School
The high school offers a college preparatory education in a
Christian environment. Over 90 percent of our graduates
continue their education in colleges and universities.
OUR
FOCUS
The focus of Suburban Christian School is found in Luke 2:52.
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with
God and man."
