Interesting facts for the class of 2008

   

Freshman - In 2004/2005 Tim O'Brien was our Principal and Sponsor. The theme for homecoming was the military we had The Navy, we came in last place. The soccer team (coached by Guy Solarek) went to the State and came in 2nd place and our basketball team (coached by Tim Baird) was 2nd place in division I.

Sean Jamison mom went to heaven to be with the Lord. Nikki Smith left our class.

 

   

Kenna Demlow  Michael Barmes, Jr.

 

  Sophomore - In 2005/2006 Mr. Emerson Barmes, Jr. was our Principal and Linda Barmes was our class sponsor. We received a third place for our booth in homecoming the theme was Board Games we had The Game of LIFE. Our basketball team (coached by Mike Barmes) was know as the "Tenacious Twelve"...we were state champions in division II. Michael Barmes got first team all tourney. Jordan Fisher joined our class.

  Junior - In 2006/2007 Mr. Wilhelm was our Principal and Linda Barmes was our class sponsor.  We took first place in booth competition for homecoming  and took first place for Theme Day with our tribute to the senior class of 2007. Our basketball team (coached by Mike Barmes) was the Division II Sate Champions. The number #30 jersey worn by the Solarek boys was retired.

The Jr. Sr. Banquet was held at OSF followed by a Carriage ride.

Allen Ramey joined our class...Jordan West left our class moving to Georgia.

  Senior - In 2007/2008 Mr. Wilhelm was our Principal and Linda Barmes was our class sponsor. During Crusader week our class took first place in Theme Day and Blue and Gold day. The senior class of 2008 topped all other classes before by making blue and gold duct tape suits for the guys and the ladies worn duct tape skirts. From head to toe they were decked out in duct tape.

Katy Coleman and Joey Hazelwood rejoined the class of 2008 as senior.

We took a trip to visit Pensacola Christian College, for many of us it was our first plane fight. We also went to the circus with the kindergarten class. Being Seniors had it perks!

They went on a road trip for their senior trip. Charlotte, NC, Manteo NC, Washington DC, New York, Nigeria Falls, Canada. While in Charlotte they toured NASCAR race shops behind the scenes. In the Outer Banks they went to the ocean, saw 4 light houses and went to an aquarium and dug for sharks teeth.  In Washington they saw all the monuments and went to Arlington for the changing of the guard. In NY they stayed on Broadway 3 blocks from Time Square, took in a Broadway Play (Little Mermaid), shopped, ate, saw Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty and went atop the Empire State Building. In Canada they saw the falls and stayed with Mr. Wilhelm's parents. All this in 3,066 miles.
